All components of this installation were found in a small street corner park in New York. The combination of dice and bottle caps with moss and fallen leaves presents a fusion of nature and urban life. Standing within this novel ecosystem, one might expect to hear only the sounds of nature. However, the soundscape is a blend of traffic noise and the chirping of small birds.
The items collected from the park's grounds were transformed into a violin, an instrument made from both natural and human elements. This violin plays the sounds of our current world, embodying the coexistence and tension between the natural and the urban. The result is a unique auditory experience that reflects the dynamic and often surprising relationship between human activity and the natural environment.
